Joy of Bihu |
Continuing the theme of dances of india, here is another one shot on the same day. Needless to mention - Bihu dancers in full flow is a captivating sight.
Bihu Dance from the land of Assam is a popular dance form. Characterized by graceful movements in even more beautiful attires, this is one dance that is likely to hold attention undivided. The men do participate as well, but its the women who hold centre stage, sticking strictly to circular formations.
The rythmic beats of dhols and other folk instruments provides the right backdrop to equally rythmic hand and body movements of dancers. The sarees worn by dancers are probably silk in lovely pastel shades. the bright punchy reds complementing the colors perfectly.

Brilliant control. I like your copyright statement.
Thank you! As for copyright, its a statement of intent at best. I know one cannot avoid digital theft.
Thank you Z. Am keeping a bit busy these days but promise to come back and read all the posts that I am missing in the interim. Peace - M

@6076c895d41658db87fcaff560047d2d Aame - thanks for visiting my blog. Japan is one country that I hope to visit sometime in near future.
The more we share the more we learn. The key here was use of flash which ensured the motion was frozen and colors captured in all their vibrancy. Am glad you enjoyed the details.
